Emulating a Professional Photographer

I believe this was my most successful photograph for this assignment because it is similar to Jim Richardson style of work, but a little different. I wanted to capture the reflection of the mountains and the tree just as Richardson did in his image. The most challenging thing about this assignment was trying to come up with my own ideas without copying the reference photographs exactly. So in the future I will try better to come up with my own ideas and use more of my own style in my photos.
Comment on other student:
I also really like this photo and think it was your most successful out of the three. I am drawn to this image because of the one vanishing point it has. This creates a lot of depth, making it more interesting. I also like how you kept your image in black and white just as the professional photographer did, but how you created it in your own style, too. You can tell that your image looks more modern from the roads and the power line, but it still captures Lange's style as well, so it's a good mix of the two.
